Awake in the New Year
Setting Conscious Intentions for Our Lives in 2017
Daylong with Deborah Eden Tull
Sunday Jan 8, 2017
11am – 4pm
“Energy is our most precious resource, for it is the means by which we transform our creative potential into meaningful action.” Tarthang Tulku
This day-long retreat is an invitation to take a sacred pause as we transition into the New Year… to bring deep listening, curiosity, and possibility, to our lives in 2017. This is a radically fresh approach to New Year’s “resolutions” that is not about self-improvement. Instead, it is about self-acceptance, conscious choice, and celebrating who we really are. This is both an opportunity to deepen in the practice of meditation and mindfulness and to align your energy with your deepest intentions for the year ahead. We will harvest the lessons of 2016; release limiting beliefs and obstacles, and affirm our heart’s intentions for 2017.
Awake in the New Year involves: meditation, mindful inquiry, writing exercises, a dharma talk, and group discussion facilitated by Eden.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing for sitting meditation and bring a journal/pen. Please bring your lunch or plan to eat locally. All are welcome… experienced meditators and those who are new to practice.
COST: $35-$75 sliding scale, plus an offering of dana to the teacher. Please pay at the highest level you can afford to support our programs and pay it forward for those who have less. Scholarships and work-study are available. No one turned away for lack of funds.
