A 5 Rhythms Workshop

with Kate Shela

April 6-7, 2013
Saturday 11:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Sunday 11:00 am to 5:00 pm

In IN.TO.ME.SEE we will practice the art of relationship with self, with other and with the collective. Using the 5 Rhythms we will allow ourselves to be moved by the timeless stories of the tender heart, the potent mind and the all knowing body.
Dropping into a pool of inter-connected being, we will seek to strip away our ‘coping masks’, finding the courage to embody what is really going on in the moment. To discern between what is choice and routine in our behaviour and to experiment with our edge in perception.
Housed in the map of the dance we will encounter ourselves and the world beyond our own envelope listening to the whispers of our body, the thrum of our minds and our yearning for simplicity.

The 5 Rhythms are a dynamic and cathartic moving meditation practice. They are a modern day medicine wheel created by Gabrielle Roth, a dancing path that moves us from inertia into our most creative, intuitive and power full selves. This practice is for everyone regardless of shape, age or level of fitness. No previous dance experience is required. Recommended reading: Maps to Ecstacy and Sweat your Prayers by Gabrielle Roth.
On the Teachers Training path this counts as two days of Waves.
Early Bird Price: $175
After March 6:  $200
Places are limited so early booking is recommended.
