You set the intention to begin a daily sitting practice New Year’s Eve and with your best efforts that is not what happened. You find that you do better keeping your practice going sitting with a group of people but you cannot get to a meditation center on a daily basis because you are a householder and dukkha happens.
You want to create positive changes in all aspects of your life, and you see those changes happening with regular practice, still, somehow at the end of the day you did not make the time to practice.
You know you would practice if someone would just come over to your home or office every morning, rain or shine, and no matter what the traffic conditions are, and practice with you.
Or if you could just turn on a guided-meditation that you have not already listened to a million times, in that tiny window before konking out at night, you could get a few minutes of sorely needed meditation in before sleep, and the whole rigmarole starts up again.
This is why MORNING MEDITATION is perfect for you.
MORNING MEDITATION is a live, conference-call based, guided meditation led by, George Haas, every Monday through Saturday, begining at 7:30am Pacific Time. Even if you cannot be available at the same time every day because things come up in life (business trips, vacations, driving the kids to school, etc.), all of the sessions are recorded and available as a podcast and through Dropbox. Just download a guided-meditation and listen at your convenience.
To help you jump start your practice now, Morning Meditation is offering a free 30-day trial. Check it out for no cost and without any further obligation, to see if this way of practicing is a fit for you. If it is, I love you keep going. And if it is not, cancel at any time.
If you choose to continue with your Morning Meditation practice, five dollars of your monthly subscription, every month you are subscribed, will be donated to Against the Stream for scholarships used for class series and retreats.

So, what is the downside? There is absolutely none. You only need to set aside 25 minutes in your day to practice…and then just do it!
MORNING MEDITATION with George Haas was named Los Angeles Magazine’s Best of LA 2011 “Best Online Buddhist Meditation“:
“The local meditation center has a great vibe, but those dreaded obstacles to enlightenment—anger, fear, desire—are messing with your mind now. Those in the know power up the laptop, click on Skype, and make a call to George Haas, a vipassana instructor who’s brought the ancient practice online. From his Filipinotown home his bearded countenance masterfully guides students through the three steps of Concentration, Sensory Clarity, and Equanimity. Haas finds the online face-to-face encounters effective. “I can keep after you if you try and dodge regular practice,” he says.”
Here’s what people say about Morning Meditation:
“George’s experiences on his own path combined with his intelligence and humor make him an unusually gifted meditation teacher. His morning meditations are the answer to bringing continued practice to my busy life. Thank you, George!” Soren Eilertsen
“Thank you very much for your early morning meditations. In spite of my desire I had not been motivated to get up at a certain time every day and sit. Somehow I have found it easy to respond to my alarm and be in my chair by 7:30.” Anita Chernis
“George Haas’ morning tele-meditation has been an invaluable tool to my practice both in meditation and in my life. With these morning meditations, George has provided a wonderful tool for any and every one to deepen their meditation practice from anywhere in the world! Bravo and thank you!” Rachael Smith
About George Haas:
George Haas began his path with a period of light-weight spiritual seeking (and heavy-duty drug and alcohol use). In 1978, he began a serious exploration of the 11th step of the 12-Step tradition, working primarily with concentration to reduce the anxiety of living sober. In an effort to make sense out of, and live with, the mounting AIDS deaths of the 1980s, Mr. Haas began walking the Red Road (traditional Native American spiritual practices) and reading Buddhist texts. After moving to Los Angeles from Manhattan in 1992 to work in the film and photography industry, George began sitting Vipassana at Ordinary Dharma in Venice, and reading extensively. In 1998, he began study with his current teacher, Shinzen Young, and Vipassana Support International, where he is now a senior facilitator.
George teaches regularly at Against the Stream. He offers a guided-meditation via conference call Monday through Saturday mornings, and teaches privately via Skype, phone, email, text & IM, which Los Angeles Magazine included on its Best of LA 2011 list as “Best Online Buddhist Meditation.”
