A Daylong Workshop with Shinzen Young

In this workshop, Shinzen will introduce you to three dimensions of working with body experience: how to appreciate the body sensorially just as it is, how to transcend the body, and how to improve the body. This workshop is open to all levels of practitioner.
Cost: Sliding Scale: $45 -$75 plus dana to the teacher. Please pay at the highest level you can afford. The registration fees go to support Against the Stream, it's programs and scholarship funds. Shinzen Young became fascinated with Asian culture while a teenager in Los Angeles. Later he enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Buddhist Studies at the University of Wisconsin. Eventually, he went to Asia and did extensive monastic training in each of the three major Buddhist meditative traditions: Vajrayana, Zen, and Vipassana.
