Connect and Sustain
with Pablo Das
Connect and Sustain is more than a class. It's a tribe! One invested not only in exploring the wisdom and compassion practices of the Buddha but also in taking the concept of "refuge" in community seriously. In this group, there's a deep commitment to sangha building and connection. One that's beginning to extend far beyond what happens from 7pm to 10:30pm on Thursday nights. In just a short period of time Connect and Sustain has expanded into daylong workshops, social events, special intimate one off workshops in the homes of it's participants and service engagement. If you seek community and intimate spiritual connection then welcome yourself home! You can start by joining us on Thursday night!
The Thursday night group breaks the mold. Each month we focus on just one meditation practice and talks will center on a single theme giving us the opportunity to dive more deeply into practice and the teachings. The emphasis of this group is on sangha building, facilitating connection and intimacy. Each class will include relational mindfulness exercises giving you the opportunity to connect with others and be seen. The class offers an extended 3 1/2 hour format which includes Pre-class chanting/singing and an hour long post-class relational mindfulness exercise or activity. If you want deeper community connection, connect and sustain delivers!
Whoever you are and wherever you are in your spiritual journey, the Connect and Sustain tribe is waiting to welcome you!
7:30- 9 (ish) Class
9:00-10:30 "hot seat" - a group relational mindfulness practice where each week we get to know a member of our community in a deeper way through inquiry and questioning. (Hot seat participants volunteer for the process.

(Skillfulmeditation.org) Dan teaches an open approach to Buddhist meditation based on what people actually experience when they meditate. This approach is called Recollective Awareness Meditation, as it involves recollecting what happens in one's meditation sittings. One can meditate in any manner one chooses in this approach or use basic instructions that will be introduced to beginning meditation students.
Experienced meditators and beginners are welcome. Please bring a notebook.

Friday Night - The Dharma Test Kitchen
This class will be an exploration of the practical connection of dharma practice in our daily lives. The focus of the class is the belief that what we do off the cushion matters, and that engagement is more than a buzz word. Each month we will explore a different fundamental aspect of basic buddha dharma from a variety of perspectives. The class will have a rotating schedule of teachers and facilitators, teaching together and individually on the monthly theme. Come start your weekend with artful practice, sangha building, and a connection to basic dharmic philosophy. Drop in class, by donation. Every Friday, 7:30pm Dharma Den.
Sunday Night Dharma Den
The Pali word for “community” is “sangha.” Sangha is one of the most important components of our practice. The spiritual path is one that requires support, encouragement, and connection. Dharma Den was started several years ago as a class that promotes sangha. We come together around a common purpose; one of suffering less, increasing insight, promoting kindness, and finding authenticity. Come join us for 30 minutes of guided meditation, followed by a brief talk and group discussion.
