A Morning of Practice

A Half Day Retreat with Matthew Brensilver

Saturday, September 17th

10am-1pm

San Francisco 

 

We’ll spend this morning practicing together primarily in silence. Practice instructions will be offered and there will be time for dialogue about mindfulness and how the practice fits into your life. We’ll sit together in the shelter provided by silence and sangha. All are welcome.

Cost: $25-60 sliding scale, plus dana (donation) to support the teacher. Scholarships are available. No one turned away for lack of funds.

Matthew Brensilver, PhD, served as a Buddhist chaplain at USC for four years and teaches about the intersection of mindfulness and psychotherapy at UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center. Matthew was trained by Noah Levine and teaches at Against the Stream. He is currently in the Spirit Rock/IIMS teacher training program and is mentored by Gil Fronsdal. He conducts research on addiction treatment at the UCLA Center for Behavioral and Addiction Medicine.
