Mind Body Awareness

A Daylong Retreat to Benefit the Mind Body Awareness Project

with Noah Levine

Saturday, March 4th

10am-5pm

San Francisco

This day long retreat will focus on mindfulness meditation as taught by the Buddha in the Four Noble Truths. We will train our minds in present time awareness by bringing attention to the breath and body and our inner-relationship to the pleasant and unpleasant physical, emotional and mental states that arise. This allows one to gradually understand the truth of the constantly changing nature of all things and how to respond with compassion and friendliness to the inevitably difficult experience of being human.

This retreat is suitable for both beginning and experienced meditators and instructions will be given.

The Mind Body Awareness Project (MBA) was founded by Noah Levine in 2000 to help youth transform harmful behavior and live meaningful lives through mindfulness meditation and emotional awareness. Located in Oakland, MBA designs and delivers mindfulness and emotional literacy programs for at-risk youth. MBA also trains educators and youth service providers nationally and internationally.

All proceeds from the day will benefit MBA.  For more info, please visit the Mind Body Awareness Project.
