The Buddha taught that the key to peace, joy and happiness is release: a state of mind and heart not driven by a relentless insistence that life, in this moment, be other than it is.  This capacity for freedom is available to each of us in every moment but it is often obscured by our agitated minds and our wounded hearts.  In this day long retreat will  combine the steady focused attention of  meditation and application of right effort to make choices that lead to joy and meaning.

This day long retreat will be comprised of silent and guided meditation, body awareness exercises, Dharma reflections and group discussions and is suitable for both new and experienced meditators.

This class is by donation, or dana, only. The dana will be divided evenly among the teacher and ATS. Please CLICK HERE for information on the tradition of dana.

Bring a lunch for yourself and something to share with Amma. In the Buddhist Monastic tradition Amma depends completely on alms food and noon is her main meal.
